INTRODUCTION
This mod is here to overhaul Tekken 7 with IMPROVED, CHALLENGING AI and the return of an ADDICTING SINGLE PLAYER MODE: GHOST BATTLE. Version 1.0a - First Public Release. The mod will update to v1.0b when new Ghost Data is received, or v1.1a if new features are added.
GHOST AI
Tekken 7 GHOST AI is trained on data learned from OVER 60 REAL PLAYERS - the Ghosts have been taught how a good Tekken player moves, performs combos, punishes, and defends. They were designed similarly to Tekken 8 Ghosts - but are even more deadly.
CUSTOMIZE THE AI IN REALTIME: From a simple press of the F1 key, you can access the Ghost Mod Menu and tune the Ghost's AI in realtime. You will immediately notice the Ghost becoming more more or less challenging as you change the settings. Every aspect of the Ghost AI is COMPLETELY customizable.
REALISTIC PLAYSTYLES: The Ghosts have been taught damaging combos, strong punishment techniques, and effective movement habits - all based on data gathered from over 63 unique players. You can even choose if the Ghost uses data from an individual player, or from all the players of that character combined.
LEARNS ON THE FLY: Every time you fight Ghosts, they learn something new - character framedata, moves it can duck and whiff punish, plus your own individual habits as a player; how often you attack, how you get up off the ground, and more.
SPATIAL AWARENESS: The Ghosts have been taught the layouts of every stage in the game and will change their strategy if they are backed into a corner. If they back you into a corner, they will pursue you relentlessly and keep you against the wall.
THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE: Being a CPU opponent has its benefits - if you want, you can allow the Ghosts to cheat by READING YOUR INPUTS to make the fight even more difficult.
GHOST BATTLE MODE
GHOST BATTLE MODE IS BACK and better than ever. This is a total overhaul of the vanilla Treasure Battle Mode with an all-new user experience that will have you addicted from the very first match. You will notice the option for Ghost Battle replaces Treasure Battle in the main menu.
CLASSIC GHOST BATTLE FEATURES: Set the round count in the Game Options, choose your next opponents, rank up your characters and earn customization items by defeating Ghosts.
QUALITY OF LIFE ENHANCEMENTS: Choose to rematch the current opponent instantly, or switch to a new stage for the next match.
EXTENSIVE CUSTOMIZATION: Decide what costumes the Ghosts are allowed to wear, choose if non-Ghost "dumb AI" opponents can appear in Ghost Battle, and even set Game Modifiers such as Disabling Rage for your battles.
HOW TO INSTALL THE MOD
Installing is simple:
- Download the latest version of the mod
- Open the folder "T7 Ghost Mod"
- Copy the files inside the Win64 folder into your own Tekken 7 install at TEKKEN 7\TekkenGame\Binaries\Win64
- Launch the game, and press F1 to open the Ghost Mod Menu.
- Set the CPU Difficulty to ULTRA HARD in the Game Options, and play in Arcade Battle, Ghost Battle, or Practice Mode to fight the Ghost AI.
HELP THE MOD IMPROVE - COLLECT GHOST DATA AND SEND IT TO ME!
I need help collecting DATA for the AI character profiles. MANY CHARACTERS STILL HAVE NO GHOSTS. YOU CAN VOLUNTEER YOUR GHOST DATA BY E-MAILING ME THE NECESSARY PLAY DATA FILES. THIS IS TOTALLY OPTIONAL, AND DATA COLLECTION IS NOT A PART OF THE MAIN MOD.
Here is the list of character data I have gathered so far - LOTS of characters are still missing. Help add them to the character pool!
If you volunteer to share your data, note that it is totally anonymized - unique players are identified only with a special number value, never any identifying username or Steam ID. The default setting of the mod aggregates all collected data for a character - no matter the player - into one big character profile.
There are two ways you can help me collect data:
Data Collection Method 1: Replay Harvester
- Install the Replay Harvester DLL into your game and watch your saved replays. You can press ctrl+F8 to make the harvester automatically navigate the replay menu and go to the next replay (meaning you can walk away from the game and grab a coffee while you let some replays playback). Harvested data gets spat out into a folder next to your game exe called "t7GhostReplayData" which you then send to me
Data Collection Method 2: Live Harvester
- Install the LIVE Harvester DLL into your game and play/spectate online matches like you normally would. Harvested data gets spat out into a folder next to your game exe called "t7GhostLIVEplayData" which you then send to me
Please send all volunteered Ghost Data to the email address: [email protected]
NEVER upload the folder "t7GhostHarvest_private". This contains data that COULD reveal your Steam username. The other folders are completely anonymized; the data you send to me doesn't reveal anything about you, your PC, or your Steam account.
